Does your message break through the noise?

Today’s consumers are the most distracted in history receiving thousands of marketing messages every day.

Finding your EDGE is all about bursting through the overcrowded market place to show clients, customers and prospects who you are and what you offer.

Check out these hints and tips to help your brand stand out:

1)      Consistent messaging – Make sure all of your marketing communications say the same thing at the same time. If you’re running an offer, promotion or ongoing campaign, this message needs to be consistent throughout all your communications. Always consider, email, website, social media & branded literature.

2)      Provide value for your audience – 71% say content they don’t like seems more like sales pitches then valuable info (Source: Economist Intelligence Unit/Flagship Community). Take the time to create messaging that ads value for your audience in the form of humor, information, inspiration and many more. For the distracted consumer, sales messages are often lost in the hustle and bustle and even disliked. A recent crackdown on Facebook addresses this very issue. In November, after a study of 500,000 users the social media giant announced that promotion heavy posts will receive a limited organic reach of as little as 1% (Source: Tech Church)

3)      Know your target market – If you don’t know who you’re talking to how do you know what to say? It’s important that your marketing message resonates with your target audience otherwise it blends into the background noise.67% of users say that timely and unique content has a meaningful impact on their perceptions of a brand (Source: Economist Intelligence Unit/Flagship Community).

4)      Know your enemy – Take the time to assess your standing in the current (and even future) market place. Know what edge you have over you competitor and communicate this to your target market by adding value with consistency.
