EDGE names Birmingham Hospice as Charity of the Year
We are delighted to announce Birmingham Hospice as our inaugural Charity of the Year for 2025.
Our local community has always been important to us. We work with a lot of businesses in and around Birmingham, so we wanted to support a cause that supports so many people in the local area.
Through our work with Birmingham Hospice to develop and grow their presence on TikTok, we have been able to see first-hand the important role they play in people’s lives, and our partnership is our way of giving back and supporting an incredible cause.
Speaking about the announcement, our Founder, Louise, said: “We are incredibly proud to support Birmingham Hospice as our Charity of the Year.
“They provide incredible support for individuals and families in our community, and we are thrilled to be working on many exciting plans to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for this vital organisation. I was surprised to learn that they care for over 800 patients on average every day across all their services.
“In addition, it doesn’t stop there. Our focus won’t just be on our own fundraising; we have ambitious goals to spread the word and encourage our clients and partners to get on board, creating opportunities for them to support the charity.”
WHO ARE BIRMINGHAM HOSPICE?
Supporting throughout Birmingham and the surrounding areas, the hospice provides compassionate care and support to individuals and families navigating life-limiting illnesses.
Their team offers not just medical assistance through palliative care but also emotional and psychological care, ensuring dignity and comfort during challenging times. Their work extends beyond patients to provide crucial support for loved ones and the community.
Fundraising is a massive element of the work they do and the charity and in addition to the charity shops and lottery, they hold a variety of fundraising events every year, ranging from The Chocolate 5K to The Rugby Ramble and Ride the Reservoir.
HOW WE PLAN TO SUPPORT THEM DURING 2025
Our focus throughout the year will be on continuing to raise awareness of the organisation and raise vital funds to support their work.
The EDGE team are also working on some exciting plans and events to raise money for the organisation, looking at charity events we can participate in as a team, as well as opportunities to host our own fundraising events.
For example, this March, Louise will be participating in The Chocolate 5K, while our developer Ray is currently training for the Coventry Half Marathon.
We’re also excited to host a Charity Golf Day in September, and there are even plans for some of our team members to take on the thrilling challenge of a bungee jump.
Not only this but we will be helping to create opportunities for our extensive network of clients and contacts to work with and support the charity throughout the year. Keep an eye out on social media for updates on our initiatives and events throughout the year.
